It wasn’t so long ago that a picture of your home would simply appear in the estate agent’s window when you put it on the market. These days, however, selling a property has changed and the images are almost always put on the internet – and it’s here where your friends, neighbours and other members of the community get to have a nice long look inside your property. The question is: should you risk giving them a helping hand by sharing the listing on your social media accounts? While it might seem like this idea could help your property sell, it does pose a few problems that vendors should be aware of. With this in mind, here are potential three issues to think about before sharing the listing online.

Door handle in Gold

Mentality

You should always try to play your best poker face when selling your home. Unfortunately, sharing the listing online can suggest that the estate agents aren’t doing their job and that you’re desperate to shift your home. This, of course, could lead to a series of offers below asking price as buyers suspect you’re all too keen to shift the property at any cost.

Judgement

Admittedly, in some cases, it can be quite demoralising to sell your home through the traditional channels. You’re essentially welcoming interested parties to pass judgement on your home – and not everything they say will always be pleasant. You can open yourself up to such remarks if you push your home on social media platforms where people aren’t known to mince their words.

Stress

If you don’t choose to sell your house fast, you’ll probably find that you’re constantly worrying about whether or not your home will attract a buyer. In fact, the stress can even keep you awake at night! In this case, the last thing you want to do is see a reminder that your property is still on the market every time that you log on to your social media platforms. It can be a very deflating experience.

What’s your decision?

It just so happens that you don’t even need to dwell on the pros and cons of sharing your home’s listing online. Instead, you can sell your house in a matter of days (and for cash) by going through National Property Trade.

I can't thank National Property Trade enough. I had my property on the market for 7 months with no interest, so checked an online property buyer expecting to take a hit. I chose their Assisted Sale product and I think I have probably ended up more than I would've done leaving it on the market, reducing it every few weeks. Gives me great relief that I don't have the stress of trying to sell anymore. If you are fed up of your estate agent, give National Property Trade a try.
