property survey

If you are looking to put your home on the market, you may be wondering how you can make your home more valuable as well as sell faster. Following a few simple tips will indeed help to sell your home much quicker, and in some cases add huge value to your home. Whether you are looking to make serious alterations or simple changes, preparing your home for viewers is very important, and can be the difference between selling your home or not. If you can make your home more appealing to prospective purchasers, you are more likely to secure a deal faster. With so much competition for property, it is incredibly important to prepare your home properly and get ahead of the game.

The first thing to do is assess your home and look to de-clutter. Often you may not realise how much stuff you have accumulated over the years, and as much as it all may be important to you, viewers do not want to see your clutter in every nook and cranny! It can put people off, and deter them from visualising themselves and their families within your home. If you feel like there is a lot of items you would rather keep as you begin de-cluttering and can’t bear to throw anything anyway then at least consider putting non-essential items in storage or asking a friend to store them temporarily. You’ll be surprised at the difference it can make by de-cluttering, and it will help prospective buyers envisage the potential living space within your home.

However, don’t be tempted to completely remove all personal possessions and leave it bare. Having a few personal items helps the viewer to imagine it as a warm, cosy, family home and appears much more inviting. Many viewers are also attracted by the lifestyle a property can offer them. Things in the local area, or land around the property help to show that and attract people, but creating simple spaces within your home that show how they can achieve an attractive lifestyle is also very helpful. You can also consider replacing bulky furniture with smaller items which can make the property appear more spacious and inviting.

You don’t need to spend thousands of pounds developing your home in order to add value or sell your home faster. Taking time to de-clutter and tidy up the exterior of your home can make a large difference to attracting prospective buyers. The outside of your home is also extremely important as it is the first impression your property gives to the viewer. So cutting back over grown shrubs and giving the front door a fresh lick of paint can completely transform your home and give it a good kerb appeal, attractive to viewers. Don’t be tempted to go over the top as many buyers will be looking to make changes that suite their individual style. And if you are looking for a quick house sale often it doesn’t matter what the condition of your home is, so you can potentially save a lot more time and money.

We sold our property using the Assisted sale product when we realised the property we were purchasing was'nt going to be ready for a few months. This gave us ample time to get the money we wanted and through using this product, that helped us achieve what we needed. Great professionalism from a company in an industry we had no prior knowledge of. If you are thinking of selling your house, try these guys for a fair and honest sale.
